When Will Disney Sell Annual Passes Again? All You Want To Know
“When will Walt Disney World Annual Pass sales resume?” is a common reader question.
You may remember that during its closure, Walt Disney World stopped selling all Annual Passes. However, neither the Walt Disney World Annual Pass program nor any pending APs were terminated when the parks reopened. The passes of many APs were proactively canceled, and refunds were sought after. That took place following a significant backlash from APs over Walt Disney World continuing to bill Passholders for monthly payments even though the parks were closed.
Upon reopening, sales of new Annual Passes were “paused” while renewals were allowed. New purchases for ex-Annual Passholders who cancelled during the closure and children who “aged into” Another option was annual passes. The Guest Services “Welcome Center” in Disney Springs exercised a great deal of discretion over sales, with much of this being done on a case-by-case basis.

When Will Walt Disney World Sell Annual Passes Again?
This is a great question, and as of right now, nobody in the Disney blogosphere can definitively respond to it. Bob Chapnek has said there is “strong demand”, and there isn’t a “slow season” any more.
We strongly advise you to renew your annual pass as soon as you can if you currently have one and intend to visit Disney World for more than eight park days. Current Incredi-Pass holders will be able to renew for $1,104 plus tax with no holiday blackout dates.
All things considered, we anticipate the sale of new annual passes before the end of 2022. I would advise keeping an eye out for new annual pass sales in September and October of 2022.
Is Disney Less Interested In Passholders?
Disney is still making an effort to make up for losses incurred as a result of the pandemic. Disney displayed significant profits at the most recent stockholders meeting, primarily as a result of the acquisition of the popular attractions Lightning Lanes and Genie+. We frequently eat at Disney restaurants for almost all of our meals as out-of-state passholders, and we also frequently indulge in a variety of sweet treats. The current Disney CEO may therefore be justified in not placing as much value on Passholders. We make it a habit of not buying the Lightning Lanes, as we are avid Rope Droppers.
Disney World Annual Pass Availability
If you didn’t know, when Disney World reopened after being closed for a while due to the global health crisis, they forbade any new sales of annual passes. Walt Disney World has mostly returned to normal, but we are still unable to buy new annual passes.
However, in the previous two years, I have definitely heard of people obtaining annual passes. That is kind of true, I suppose. For the first 18 months following the reopening, those who had Annual Passes that had previously expired or been canceled could obtain new passes on a case-by-case basis. The trick appeared to be that they would convert your ticket to an Annual Pass if you showed up in person. An annual pass was declined to the majority of callers. The other exception was that children of pass holders who turned three after the park closed could still obtain a pass even though they now needed to pay admission to enter the park.
What Is A Disney World Annual Pass?
Disney World’s theme parks are accessible with an annual pass. Whichever tier Annual Pass you choose to purchase will determine how frequently you can use it. The level of restriction can range from the lowest of just weekdays to the highest of no blackout dates.
Being an Annual Passholder has given me the wonderful benefit of visiting Disney much more frequently. Of course, it helps a lot now that I live so close to the theme park, but I’ll admit that even before moving to Orlando, when I was an annual Passholder, I was still able to squeeze in two to three trips a year. After your first trip, your annual pass can pay for itself. The Annual Pass eliminates a big expense, park tickets, and parking, and it includes park hoppers, so this makes the second trip in the same year following the pass purchase much less expensive.
What Are The New Annual Pass Tiers?
Pay close attention if you’re one of those people who can’t tell the difference between a small, medium, or large at Starbucks and a tall, grande, or venti. We’re not entirely sure what the rhyme or reason behind the new names was, but Disney clearly had some fun with them. Only one of the four available levels of Disney World Annual Passes is accessible to non-residents of Florida. The Pixie Dust Pass is the only annual pass that is currently on sale.
Extras are available for all Annual Passes. For $99, you can add PhotoPass, or for $109, you can add the Waterpark and Sports option, which grants you access to both the regular golf course and the miniature golf course in addition to the water parks.
